The Hai Wings and the Zai Crystal

    Okay, so what the heck are the Hai Wings and Zai Crystal and why are they so important? This is how the story goes.

    "Haizai" literally means "compounding of a medicine" and "disposition of heaven." This can be taken in two ways, obviously, but let us look at it as the compounding of a medicine. 

    It started as a story. There was a young man, who went out of his way to help anyone he came across and one day he came across an ugly old woman, who was begging for help. Like the good man he was he helped her, and in return she gave him a gift she called the Hai Wings. There was nothing special about the simple little jewel, for that is what is was, and for a long while the man lead a normal happy life.

    But happiness can never last or so they say. The young man had married his true love, but she had fallen ill one night and was at death's door. He went to all the healers and doctors he could, but no one had an answer. There he was with his wife waiting for death to take her, and inspiration struck him. To show his true love to her he gave her the one thing, though simple, that he fancied the most, The Hai Wings.

    His wife mysteriously became better, but her husband steadily became worse. In fact, it looked as if he had aged at least twenty years by the time his wife was back to full health.

    She remained healthy, and she watched as all those around her grew old and died. The truth was she did not gain in age, so what could have caused this?

    The Wings, it was said that they had the power over youth and life. The woman finally died, only after she took off the jewels and passed them to her great grandson.

    This young man, named Naldo, went on a quest to find out the truth about his mother's gift. He was an honest young man, but unsure of himself and easily swindled out of house and home, but one thing never left his possession the Wings. He was determined to find the woman, or at least a relative, who gave it to his great grandfather.

    He was amazed when he came across a lovely young woman in a dark and gloomy town. She was like something from out of a fairy tale, and she said that she could easily find who he was looking for.

    Naldo could not believe his ears when the woman told him about her fate with a similar object that she carried. The Zai Crystal, or so she said, had the ability to heal any wound or mend anything broken. It was a simple jewel, just like the one Naldo had been given.

    She carefully explained to him about how she had offered to help a woman, like his great grandfather had, and she had given her a small polished stone in return. It had happened only a few days pervious to the current meeting, meaning that the old hag could not have gone far.

    She had not, in fact, she had stayed in the small village and waited for their arrival, and told them the truth about those little tiny shiny pieces of stone.

    They were truly curse, an if anyone power hungry got their hands on them the world as they knew it would come to an end swiftly. Those gifts gave unlimited power to anyone who possessed them. Only the purest could use the power correctly.

    That's how the story began, but it did not end their. Time after time the story was told, and many different interpretations of pure were created, and also many interpretations of the stones were created. Somehow the stones dissipated into a force or fountain that no one could truly possess.

    Then their was that fateful day when several scientist came together to create the object. They did succeed, and the object was integrated into a person, creating a living Zai Crystal. Shortly after Hai Wings followed.

    The Hai Wings and Zai Crystal have no definite form, but they have the ablity to make things "perfect" or... not.
