Chapter Six: They Come From Above...

Sachie takes a deep breath as he mounts with his egg. Suddenly a cracking sound is heard from above. He looks up to see some people free falling.

That doesn't last for long as a man with dark brown hair falls on Oomlaut and a woman about his age falls in his lap.

"Owwie!" Oomlaut cries in pain.

Sachie blinks before coming to his senses, "For the love of god get off me!"

Dmitrii and Bumblebii look back from their mounts and begin to laugh at their friends? predicament. They noticed that the woman looked up as the man moaned. God this was funny.

The woman looks at Sachie, "Did I have any choice but to land on you?"

The man yelps a wonderful, "OUCH!"

He looked at the woman, "I really don't care...please get off..."

A little red thing laughed as the man jumped off Oomlaut and the woman slide of the horse.

The thing squealed, "Oh, this is fun, fun, fun!"

Oomlaut blinks. The thing was so cute..."What is that thing?"

"I am a Sprite, Sprite, Sprite, protector of a Haken egg, egg, egg!" the sprite answered.

The blonde woman looked at the group, "Who are you people?"

Sachie looked at the sprite, "I don't see a Haken egg anywhere around here..."

"Juneep's got one, one, one!" the haken sprite repeats.

Oomlaut sniffed as she looked that the woman, "Shouldn't we be asking you?"

The man looks at her, "I'm sorry about her. I'm Junip, this is Gia...?

The haken sprite bounces, "I'm just a cuddly, cuddly, cuddly friend for a Haken!"

Bumblebii says from her steed with a bit of caution, "Okay...my name's Bumblebii."

Dmitrii delivers his cue with a happy grin, "Dmitrii Czatil!"

"Sacheverell Pikkeru..." Sachie brushes his hair from face as he hides his egg.

"I am, am, am, Hika!" the sprite says.

Sachie gives Gia a curious look, "Why does she always repeat things?"

Oomlaut comes late with her reply, riddle with sniffles,? I?m," she pauses for a sniff, "Oomlaut Neethersparra."

"I'm sorry about landing on you..." the man, Junip, says kindly.

She sniffs, "It hurts..."

"I'm sorry..."

Bumblebii turns to her brother, "Fix her 'Mitrii."

"But..."

"I said go, brother."

Heaving a sigh, 'Mitrii casts a quick healing spell. Gia looked on in amusement, and then she turns to Bumblebii, "So you're brother and sister?"

"Yes, twins, and both demons."

Hearing this, Hika bounced around, nearly falling off Gia's shoulder. "Twinnies, twinnies, twinnies!"

Bii blinks,? What?s her problem?"

Gia shrugged, almost sending Hika tumbling. "She's weird."

Fumei comes trotting up. Gia snorted with laughter, for the dragon was holding a very large plate with a cake balanced on top. He tilts his artificial head to one side, "Anyone want some cake?"

Sunil had come from behind the two new comers and sent the thought, *Go away, Fumei.*

In the mention of cake the little sprite, flew of Gia's shoulders in glee, "I want, want, want!"

Fumei just laughed, handing her a large dish of cake, "Ok then! Here!"

Hika stumbles under the plate, then falls over, the plate squishing her beneath Aenka stares at Fumei. "I still say he's a girl."

Kuroi peeks out of 'Mitrii's pockets. "Oh dear, is she okay?"

Both Gia and Junip turned to Kuroi. "She's fine, it shut her up" Gia seems to shrug.

Junip looked reproachfully at Gia. "She does have a habit of talking a lot."

Lani peeks out of Sachie's belts, "Who's the sexy guy?"

Sachie looks down. As if the genderless cooking Mecha dragon and the haken sprite weren't enough. "Were you asleep again?"

She thinks a bit before nodding and saying, "Er...yes."

Gia looked at Lani, "Who are you?"

'Mitrii takes his turn to wow the lady, "That's Lani, the star Oo. The white one is Aenka and the black one is Kuroi...they're yen and yang Oos..."

Gia looks at them, smiling, "Well, you're cute little things..."

The little Oos stuck their heads up. "Hiya!"

Mitrii rolls his eyes, "I really need to get away from these things..."

Sacheverell looks over, exasperated. "You're telling me."

Meanwhile, Gia had been observing the horses. Running her hand down the horse's flank, she turned to Sacheverell, "These are strange beasts, but they seem quite elegant. What do you use them for?"

"Riding...most of us aren't too fond of flying"

"Really? They seem sturdy enough for that..."

Sachie blinks. These people were strange or...nuts. "Hey, where do you people come from?"

Oomlaut's ears pop up, "And why aren't you cold?"

Gia looks at them, "We're from Coraka. We're both rather hardy."

Sachie takes a look at the sky, "I think we opened another gate..."

'Mitrii looks at him a bit put out, "Only how many left?"

Junip glares at his travel companion, "No, Gia got us both thrown here."

Bumblebii resists the urge to roll her eyes and takes a look at them, "Well, when we find the rightful gate for the place you come from, we can send you back..."

Oomlaut nods vigorously, "That's right!"

Gia looks at them all before looking down slightly, "I don't need to go back. My cause is obsolete...I'm the queen of a lost kingdom better off lost."

Sachie gave her a look of...well he gave her a weird look while saying, "Wonderful."

Junip looks at her, then turns to Sacheverell, "Personally, I think we need to find the first trip home for here..."

Oomlaut takes a look at all of them, "Let's go!"

Hika pipes up from under the plate of cake, "Where you going, going, going?"

That was a good question...Bumblebii pauses, "Um..."

Sunil snickers, *They have no clue!*

Gia looks at 'Mitrii, "We might as well help you on your quest..."

Junip looks over with surprise, "Who decided this?"

Hika slides out from under cake slice, "She did, did, did!"

'Mitrii groans, "Oh yay! Another woman..." That's all he needed to make him a bit more insane...okay, push him over the edge to totally insanity.

Gia glares at him, "Got a problem with that?"

Sacheverell looks over to his best friend, Dmitrii, "Shoot me?"

Gia looks up at Sacheverell, pulling out an arrow, setting it on the string and prepares to shoot him, "Tell me when you want it."

Sachie stares down at the fearless Gia. What was this girl?s problem? He hisses a, "Ffff"

Junip leaps on Gia, tackling her, keeping her from shooting our dear Sachie, "GIA! STOP! DON'T SHOOT HIM!!!"

Oomlaut stares on in horror, "MEANIE!"

Junip helps Gia up, but she continues to struggle against him, "Eerm...she takes things a bit literally..."

Sacheverell looks down at her a bit discontent, "I can tell..."

"I'm sorry..." He picks up Gia, pinning her arms, trying to get her to calm down. Oomlaut takes the chance to latch onto Junip's arm as Gia struggles. Suddenly, Gia kicks him hard on the leg, elbows him, making him release her. She looks down at the winded Junip, angry. "Stupid move, idiot..."

Sacheverell laughs as Junip gasped for breath. This girl might be all right after all! Gia smiles at Sachie, "Glad that I amuse you so..."

Dmitrii nods to Bumblebii, "Shall we get moving?" They need to go somewhere. It was getting boring.

Hika bounces, "Yay! We go, go, go!"

Sachie looks down weirdly at Hika, while Bii responds to Dmitrii, "It'd be nice..."

Lani looks up at Sacheverell with a foxy grin, "Hey sexy? Will you be a horse for the people?"

Sachie looks down wide eyed, "Uh..."

Gia looks at the little Oo with fascination, "What does "sexy" mean?"

Junip blushes slightly, "She's never heard of the word before..."

Lani looks with astonish and almost chokes, "You don't know the meaning of sexy?!"

Sachie takes one look at 'Mitrii, "You and I can give up our horses...we can both fly..."

Nodding in agreement, they slide off their horses. These people would need them...they did seem human... The man looks at the horse, "Alright then..."

Sacheverell laughs and tosses Gia a wink, "I am a shapeshifter, after all!" He turns into a large classic, green dragon, shocking Hika, who squeals. Vaulting onto the horse, Gia felt it rear in shock. Too late, Sacheverell warned her in the far deeper voice of a dragon, "Careful...he's a bit sensitive..."

Junip clambers less gracefully onto his horse, Dmitrii surveys the group with a smile, "Shall we?"

Gia looks to Sachie, "Thanks for the warning.....yes, let's be off..."

Bumblebii mounts her horse, starting off. They could catch up! She wanted out now.

Oomlaut protests, "Wait a second!", she hops on her horse, "Now..."

Sachie rolls his eyes, taking off. 'Mitrii spread his wings, making a slow liftoff. He curses, "Stupid double set of wings..." They always got in the way!

Junip and Gia warily kick their horses, "Hey-up!"

Sunil flew above them slightly, his voice piercing their heads, *There's a town up ahead. Half an hour's worth of travel*

Gia breaks her silence, "Very well."

Sachie mutters under his breath, "Please let there be a gate of some sort..." That would solve a lot of problems. No...his luck always sucked.

Junip sighs, "Good, these horses are awkward to ride."

'Mitrii grins, "'Course they are! They're war horses!"

Gia, being closer to Sacheverell, apparently heard what he said, "Gate? What's that?"

Bii turns to Gia with a bit of a grin, "It's hard to explain...'Mitrii."

Mitrii turns to her also but with a sigh, "It's a thingy that leads to other worlds."

Gia's eyes open wide, "Oh...like the one we went through...."

Junip scowls, "The one that was supposed to take us to Mythioligios!"

Sachie looks over with total puzzlement, "Most likely...and that is?"

Gia sighs and rolls her eyes, "The planet he wanted to go to so he could see the goddess again..."

'Mitrii grins wickedly as Bii's eyebrow shoots up, "Goddess?"

Oomlaut blinks, "Goddesses are real?"

Sachie rolls his eyes. These people have to be nuts, "Uh-huh...okay then."

Junip glares, "She helped me once...she was a friend of mine who saved me."

Sunil telepaths to Junip and Gia alone. It was better that way, *You'll have to forgive them. This realm is rather...secluded*

"Whatever...she was just a woman I met who helped me out..." Junip shrugs.

Gia latches on to the end of the sentence, "That he seems to have fallen in love with..."

Bumblebii laughs, "I like this guy!"

Gia looks at her, her eyebrow raised, "Why?"

Bumblebii grins, "He's just fun...I haven't met someone like him in awhile..."

Dmitrii sighs, of course they haven't...That was along time ago...

Gia rolls her eyes sarcastically, "One of a kind..."

Sachie sighs, "Women..."

Junip sighs also, "Can't live with 'em, can't live without them."

Bumblebii grins, it was time to play! "From the looks of it, you two might be lovers and all!"

Gia almost falls off her mount, "What in the name of the gods are you talking about?!"

Bumblebii looks away. Whoops. "Oh, nothing..."

Junip turns around, "Eh, Bii...we're not lovers..."

Sachie then mutters, "This is why I prefer men..."

It was now Junip's turn to nearly fall off his horse, "I think I misunderstood you, Sachie..."

Hika bounces happily with the stallion's gait, "Sachie gay, gay, gay!"

Sachie glances at Hika. She might as well get it right, "I'm bi, thank you..."

'Mitrii laughs and bites his tongue, "That's the scary part!"

Hika giggles, her voice jolted by the ride, "What bi, bi, bi?"

"I swing both ways." Sachie states simply.

Junip pulls his horse slightly away from Sachie, which did not go unnoticed.

"What?! I'm only sixteen, don't worry..."

Gia grins, "He's just a little scared...scared of everything, actually..."

Sachie laughs as she continues. This girl was funny at least. "Finally, I'm around people my own age..."

Bii looks at her, "My brother and I are fifteen."

Oomlaut pips up, "I'm sixteen too..."

Gia smiles, "I must fit right in then. I'm sixteen..."

'Mitrii gives his sarcastic smile, "Oh joy!" At least she wasn't any younger...

Sachie turns around, "And...Junip?"

Junip blushes slightly, turning the other way. Gia just laughs, "He's old!"

Bumblebii and her brother exchanges their twin humorous looks. Bii grins, "I doubt that..."

"Mitrii finishes, "Our parents are six hundred."

Junip looks around, "I'm twenty-three...older than most of you guys..."

Hika laughs, "He old, old, old!"

Sachie gives a dragony smile, "That's not too bad."

Sunil looks down, *I'm three hundred*

Fumei scratches his head, "I can't remember..."

Junip looks over at Gia, "I'm old enough to make Gia laugh at me."

Gia snickers, "I laugh at you for everything..."

Sachie snickers, as Junip sighs wearily, "I really wish I was in Mythioligios..."

'Mitrii looks at Junip with a bit of amusement, "Oh? Are we that bad?"

Oomlaut starts to sniff, that wasn't very nice of the guy! "He hates us..."

Junip shakes his head, "No, Gia is. You guys aren't too bad..."

Bii laughs, this guy was kidding himself! "You haven't seen Oomlaut on a sugar high!"

'Mitrii and Sachie shiver at the mention of Oomlaut and sugar. They didn't want a repeat of this morning...

Junip shakes his head, stating a fact that makes Gia grin innocently, "If I can deal with a mad Gia, I can deal with her."

Lani cries form her perch, "No! You can't!"

Junip thought for a few moments before saying, "But then again, I haven't seen Oomlaut on a sugar high...."

Gia just shakes her head and says, "Riiiight."

Oomlaut grins, "Hey! Can I braid someone?s hair?" Why not it was getting boring just riding like this.

Dmitrii muttered, "Stop looking at me."

Gia says in a kindly tone, "My hair's already braided, thank you for the offer."

Bii growls as she notices where Oomlaut's gaze has wandered, "Touch my hair and die."

Oomlaut sniffs, She was really milking it today, "I'm bored"

Fumei blinks as he flies next to the group, "You said that two hours ago."

Hika takes this chance to yell with child like glee, "I play, play, play with you!"

Oomlaut nearly jumps off her horse, "YAY!" As Hika jumps on her shoulder some of the group makes some comments.

Sachie shakes his draconic head, "They make a good couple."

'Mitrii is taken by surprise, "She's sixteen and she acts like what?"

Gia says in her normal tone of voice, "Two psycho animals made for each other..."

Oomlaut ignores all these comments and exclaims happily while Hika wraps around her neck, "Yayness! A new friend!"

"New friend, friend, friend!"

Needless to say they're both happy.

Bii shakes her head, "Wait until you see her in full fox form."

Dmitrii's eyes well up with traces of tears, "And she always tackles the nearby guys!"

Junip makes a simple but effective statement, "So I'll push you nearer."

'Mitrii throws him a dirty look. How dare he!

Sachie speaks to relive the tension, "The town is only a few minutes away."

Gia laughs be for saying the all mighty saying, "Oh good..."

Bii smiles, "Good that means--CRAP! We don't have any money left!" She swears under her breath.

Dmitrii crosses his arms while flying, "I refuse to do stupid tricks!"

Sachie nods, "As do I."

Junip makes a suggestion, "I have some money...might be worth something here."

Bumblebii sakes her head, "Doubt it."

Gia makes a sudden unexpected statement, "I am NOT selling myself, so don't even think about it, Junip..."

That little comment sends half the group wide eyed. Oomlaut was the first to react with a gasp followed by the statement, "WHAT?!"

Sachie blinks, "Did I hear that wrong?"

Junip and Gia seem to ignore them. Junip teases, "What if I asked you nicely, Gia?"

"NO!"

Fumei quickly changes the subject, "I could sell my cakes!"

Sachie rolls his eyes, "You'd scare the costumers."

"Hey!"

Hika jumps as she makes a suggestion, "I do tricks, tricks, tricks!"

Junip asks innocently, "Why don't you do a ritual dance, Gia? You can sing for supper!"

Bii turns to her as Sachie makes a sound, "Can you sing?"

Gia glares back at Junip, "Yes, I can sing and dance."

'Mitrii shrugs , "I guess I'll tell fortunes...."

Bumblebii grins, "We can go to the local bar!"

Junip blinks.

Sunil turns to face them while flying, *Is that wise?*

"No, if Gia gets drunk we're in trouble."

It's Bii's turn to blink, "She's sixteen, she won't be able to drink."

Junip insists, "Still...if someone picks a fight with her, she'll be doing time."

Bii gives an innocent grin, "It's your turn to work Sachie."

He groans, "Do I have to turn into a woman like I did last time?" Even if this was there first time on a mission they did make him do this quite often in town. He was sick of this. Really.

Gia shouts, "Okay! I'll perform!"

Bii sighs, "She won't pick a fight..."

This cause Junip to raise an eyebrow, "She won't?"

"Because I most likely will."

Gia huffs, "If some drunk idiot hits one me, he's gonna get decked."

Dmitrii smiles, "You should have seen what Bii did to one drunk guy!"

Sachie shudders, "Don't speak of that."

Gia grins, "I have my share of drunken men and women stories."

Oomlaut blinks, "I'm lost..."

Dmitrii frowns, "Of Course you are."

Hika sings, "S'ok, ok, ok! You my friend, friend, friend!"

Oomlaut, like her normal self changes the subject, "I wonder if this town likes demons."

Junip makes a painfully obvious statement, "Hmmm....I have no clue about the culture of this place...."

Dmitrii shakes his head, "And you don't want to know, trust me."

Bii nods in agreement, "It's all messed up."

Sunil interrupts, *We're almost there!*

Gia takes the time to say, "Oh thank goodness."

Lani pops out from her perch, "Oh yay! More men!"

Hika asks, "What are men good, good, good, for?"

"Laughs and well...if you don't know...."

Sachie would have smacked his head if he wasn?t holding the egg, "She has a dirty mine."

Fumei grins, "Worse then mine?"

Dmitrii eyes the mecha dragon, "I'd say so."

The dragon goes wide eyed, "That's really bad.

Gia shakes her head, "God...and I thought Komt had a dirty mind..."

Sachie turns to her, "Forgive her. I don't know what she's on...."

In-between the conversation Sunil interjects, *Two Minutes.*

Bii speeds up her horse, "Oh thank God!"

Gia looks at Sachie and Lani, "Probably nothing, just has a very....ahem, forward personality."

Lani just gives them all a wicked grin, "Whatever you say!"

Kuroi pops out of one of 'Mitrii's pockets, "And you say I'm creepy..."

Aenka pops out from the other pocket, "Oh but you are!"

"WORSHIP ME!"

Hika growls, "Silence, silence, silence with the OOS!"

Dmitrii looks at the group, "Any one have a muzzle with them?"

Sachie sighs, "Left it at home."

"oh darn, darn, darn."

Sunil makes the happiest announcement ever, *Ka-ching! all aboard! We're here!*

Bii brushes some hair out of her face, "Let's go find a place to stay...."
