Chapter Fourteen: Redundancy...well you know.As usual the travelers ran into a huge road bock. What happened this time you ask? They ran out of food. Now we'll drop in to see how this port city is treating them. *People are weird around here! They freaked out when they saw me,* Kazimir was sulking atop of 'Mitrii's head. "Dragons like you aren't common at all Kazi. They don't know how to react at all. It could have been worse. You could have gotten the reaction people gave me." Kazimir snorted, the members of the group had split up for the time being and per usual it wasn't a friendly town. Teh, it could have been worse for them all. Thankfully no one in this town seemed to be aggressive only very skittish. Who where they kidding? These people where freaking terrified of everything! Minus one, that is. There was one person who did not fear in that town. She was defeating each member one at the time and...of course Dmitrii and Kazimir would be the last to find out. As a matter of fact they would being finding that out a-- "YOW! OH GEE!" --bout now. Dmitrii quickly ducked behind a house. An arrow had narrowly missed him. Whoever was shooting knew what they were doing. "Who wants to kill us in this pacifist town?" Dmitrii bit his tongue and gave a small yelp. *No need to panic. Their has to be a perfectly good explanation!* "Tell that to the person who's shooting at us." *Stop complaining. You're a mage, do something.* "I can't." *Wait. WHY?!* "I vowed not to use harmful magic." *Make an exception!* "I can't do that." *Oh god, why?* "I don't know how to cast harmful spells." *We are so screwed!* "Heheheh. Yep." "COWARD! COME OUT!" "No, I think I'll stay over here," Dmitrii shouted back nervously as he fell backwards through a hidden door. *Don't squish me!* Kazi quickly moved to his lap as Dmitrii whacked his head on the hard stone floor. With a sharp crick the door closed behind them. Dmitrii groaned, at least there was no more arrows for a while. *Are you okay 'Mitrii? Did you hit your head hard?* "Yes, and it hurts like the dickens." *Can you take care of yourself ever.* "Do you ever shut up?" *No, Can we get going that person might find the same door. Luck doesn't seem to be on our side today.* Dmitrii sat up rubbing his head, in a few swift movements he was standing with Kazi in his arms, "Yes let's see..." Looking around they both went wide eyed. They apparently had fell into a labyrinth of some sort. The drip of water was heard constantly in the background, the walls where made of stone covered in mildew and mold. Erie voices seemed to come from every where. A thought struck both of them at the same time. We are so going to die! "I'LL KILL THAT LITTLE--" "Bii calm down," Chuutou was attempting to bandage a wound. That same "hunter" had met up with them and locked them in some creepy labyrinth. Sachie had been beaten to bloody pulp, so Velare had become his nurse for the time being. Oomlaut had been shocked and was crying about her tail being burnt. Even Sunil, the Oos and Fumei, of all dragons, where defeated. This girl, who was hidden in the shadows, meant business. She popped in, quite literally, "You're stupid friends fell for the trap. Quite amusing! I think I might keep your brother to play with Mistress Bumblebii!" The girl laughed and squealed as she disappeared. "I'll kill her and her little scruffy cat boy I swear." Oomlaut sniffed, "Dmitrii can save us! I know it." Sachie just groaned in the background. Velare sighed, "Face it. We're all going to die." Dmitrii ran through the maze with Kazimir hanging on for dear life. He knew how to get out of here but not how to fight the monsters with in the maze. Screeching to a halt he looked around, nothing. Nothing equaled something bad was going to happen. Frantically they looked around, there were two paths one to the left and one to the right. Kazimir gave a sigh of frustration, *Now what?* "You have ears, can you here anything?" Dmitrii's left ear twitched. *No, why?* "I think something’s coming, and it's fast. We have to take the right, though it's the wrong way." *But--* THWACK! An arrow had whizzed by Kazimir's head, slightly nicking him in the nose. *It'll heal...RUN!* They sped off with arrows narrowly missing them, when they came to the corner the rain stopped. Dmitrii collapsed and Kazimir fell in his lap, rubbing his muzzle with his tail. Sighing he looked up at Dmitrii who, had a few cuts on his face and was panting pretty much like a dog. *Hey, are you okay...and do you think this will leave a mark?* "I'm fine, and no it shouldn't. I'm a bit to preoccupied right now I can't cast a healing spell..." *It's okay let's get out of here while we still can.* He climbed up upon his bondmate's head. Dmitrii stood up slowly, He leaned on the wall, "Someone's on the other side..." *Who?* Dmitrii lowered his voice to a whisper, "I can't see through walls can I?" *Sorry. Let's move...what if it's someone evil.* "AHAHAHAHAHA! You are the one's who are evil!" a female voice came from above them. They both cringed at that horrible laugh. She continued her speech as she landed behind them, "You see if you open the gates our world will be corrupt from then on. I can't let you bring evil back into this world. Sorry but I have to kill your sisters and all, but I think I'll keep you as a pet." Carp, and I mean Carp, a psycho chick wants to keep them as a pets. Man what luck. Slowly, they turned around to see her. "WHOA MAN!" She was a dark brunette, clad in leather from head to toe, with bright red lipstick some arrows and a bow. Only bad thing about her was that she wanted to kill them, and that terrible laugh could kill them first. She grinned, which was a bit unnerving since it looked like she would snap his neck. Walking up slowly she brushed her hand against 'Mitrii's feathery wings, "You know your twin is behind that wall along with the rest of your lackeys. I might let them live if you do me a favor..." "Never, let them go!" "No can do sexy." "What did you call me?" *What did you call him?* "Sexy..." *What are you on lady! Are you some lame duck or something?* "Thanks for defending me Kazi." *Sorry, but...you sexy. That's just wrong!* "Thanks...a lot," Dmitrii hissed. "Um..if you’re finished I think I'll put a leash on you now!" *Now wait a minute!* The girl produced a leash from her tight leather pockets. It was bright neon pink. Enough said. "I'm sorry Miss I didn't want to do this but..." Dmitrii shut his eyes and chanted. "AIIIIEEEE!" The girl fell to the ground in a fitful spasm. *I thought you didn't know any attack spells!* "I don't." *Then...what did you do?* "I cast a binding spell. She's just acting for the most part." *Oi freaking vay.* "Yes...now we can fly over this stupid wall and save Bii...who's knocked out. What did you do to her you little TRAMP!" The girl sniffed, "She called me some nasty names so I whipped her." "Be so happy I can't hurt you under my moral codes." *I can though!* Kazi who was still bleeding, jumped off Dmitrii's head, crawled over to her and, for the most part, bit the girls nose. Hard. Really Hard. "AHHHH!" "Oh shut up." Kazi came back, *Let's go!* "Let me heal that stupid little cut. He kneeled down as a ball of white light appeared in his hand. So what if he really didn't need to make it, it looked better that way. A few seconds later he lifted his hand from Kazimir's nose and raised an eyebrow, "Odd." Kazimir quickly caught on, *No. It did not leave a scar.* "Just a light--" *NUUU!* "--mark nothing much. You can barley see it." *Get a freakin' mirror out! Now!* "Okay, okay!" Dmitrii waved a hand in a dismissive and took out a small hand mirror. (You all wonder what he keeps it in his pockets and why he can always produce something at the very right time. So do I. )Placing it in front of his bondmate he sighed. How vain could this little dragon get. In a single word very. Kazimir shrieked, *It's huge! It's freaking huge!* Dmitrii laughed nervously, "It'll go away when you get older. (I hope.)" *You said it was small!* "It is." Kazimir quickly, with the vengeance of a dragon, sprung upon the bind girl.
Dmitrii had healed the whole group and they where ready to get out of the town. Though the townspeople thought otherwise. For the first time ever the travelers experience a full fledged seaport festival and they were the guest of honor. The bind girl had been sent to prison along with all her minions. The townsfolk were joyful beyond words. Everyone was happy. Minus two that is. Kazimir sulked about his "scar" and complained that it wouldn't heal. Dmitrii was half asleep in his bed room listening to Kazi's ranting. Someone walked in. "Harper?" Dmitrii yawned. "Yes, I thought I'd bring you a drink. You did expend yourself healing everyone. I'm sorry--" "That you couldn't help? You were busy with that cat boy. You did a great job beating him up." "That coming from a white mage is a pretty big complement for a hero. Or an insult." *He meant it as a compliment, but you knew that,* Kazimir continued to sulk. "Cheer up little Hero! I brought you something from the girls. Y'know the find you cute and sweet." Kazimir snorted along with Dmitrii. "I'm not joking you two. I'll see you tomorrow sometime. It's almost night and I want to see the fire works. See ya!" Harper set down a small bag wrapped in red and purple foil with blue ribbons, along with a cup of tea and left. Dmitrii got up from his perch on the bed, "Shall you come over here and take a look or sit on your window sill?" Kazimir glared at him, *I don't have legs, and I can't fly. You come over here.* Rolling his eyes with the package and tea in hand he went to sit on the sill. With a smile he set his tea down and unwrapped the foil. The both sat there in silence for a long while. Kazimir broke the silence, *You fibbed about that scar, but I forgive you.* Kazi used his tail to pinch Dmitrii's cheek. "Ugh! You just like it now because of this trinket! I'm telling you it'll go away," Dmitrii winked, "Though I think I do look sexier as a Chibi." *Hey that's my line!* "Sorry! I got there first!" Dmitrii began to spin the key chain around his figure. It was, as you may have guessed, them as chibis with a two words written on it. Thank you. We end this random chapter of Toro now, simply because I have the power. I hope you all enjoyed, the next chapter will be a real blast!
