The Home of Magic and Misfits
In the temple of fate sat the holy priest Cola. In his hands he held a blue spotted egg. Behind the holy priest sat a normal man, with dark brown hair and pair of shackles. That of course was the god of fate Loda'Bukira in a very flimsy disguise. Cola looked up at his superior and asked, "When is this man going to come?"
"Soon, or so I hope. The little one seems to be ready to go on an adventure..."
"Or just to get out of this stuffy place," finished the priest. He knew exactly how the little egg felt.
The god laughed, "I'll send you on an adventure someday Coloa, but for now we must wait for her little highness' ride."
"Let's just hope he comes soon. We all seem to be bored out of our skulls."

"Ah-ah-CHOO!" Skittles sneezed violently.
"You're sick?" asked Fulmen who was half sitting on Skittles's shoulder. The only reason he was there was because of the lack of a horse.
"No," said Skittles before another sneeze. "Something is just irratating my nose."
"Skittles! Fulmen!" Taeda called from above, "There's a huge city with golden gates up ahead! It's just over the hill!" She fluttered down onto his vacant shoulder.
"That's the city of Magic and misfits, Dainai." This was the one city he could stay at for long periods of time without getting excessively bored. Due to an unfortunate turn in the tides the down is less friendly then it has been. Very few people were looked upon kindly.
Werewolves were definitely not looked upon with kind eyes.
The golden gates stood looming up before them in no time. By some form of magic they opened slowly revealing a beautiful vision of a city.
The city streets were filled with vendors in brightly colored clothing, as people in clean cut outfits bought fruits of all different colors. The buildings were covered in murals of epics and everyday life. But there was something that stood apart from the happiness. Many did not notice a little child of about eight making her way through the crowd picking pockets or stealing an apple and putting it in her knapsack.
Skittles shook his head as he made his way into the crowd. This little girl was just like someone he knew a long time ago. He had to stop her from making all the wrong choices.
He watched her as she choose a fruit vendor to steal from. With a smile he made his way to the fruit vendor to steal and knave himself. Of course he didn't realize that Taeda and Fulmen had no idea what he was up to, but it currently didn't matter.
He picked up a brilliant red apple, at least... it looked like an apple. "How much is this, sir?" Skittles asked the merchant, who didn't have a single thing priced.
The girl snuck up beside him, unnoticed my most. With cat like reflexes she grabbed for an apple, only to find her hand pinned down by another's. She looked up at the figure with terrified green eyes.
"Also, can I have one for this young lady?" said Skittles while looking at the little girl.
The merchant nodded slowly and bagged two of the fruits. While Skittles was paying with one hand Taeda took the bag in her mouth gratefully. With the little girl's hand in his Skittles set began to lead her to a clearing near one of the vendors.
She didn't struggle. It could have been from the shock of being caught or the shock of being caught by such a strange man. It didn't matter a bit when he started speaking to her.
"Now, you know you shouldn't be stealing in plain site like that," Skittles said with a smile.
The little girl blinked. "Who are you to tell me that?"
"They call me Skittles. Your name is what now?"
"Taimay," she said curtly.
"Well, Taimay, it's nice to meet you. May I ask you where your guardian is now?"
"It's none of your businesses!" She stomped her foot in anger.
Oh, so it was a little girl who threw temper tantrums. No big deal there, it would just be a bit annoying. "I figure you have a older brother or sister..."
Taimay remained silent, glaring dagger back at him.
"I'll take that as a yes." Skittles brushed back his hair, by this time Fulmen and Taeda were on the ground having a separate conversation. Skittles looked down at Taeda, "Hey, could you do me a favor and look for a young man or woman who looks remotely like this kid?"
Taeda looked up, "Huh? What?! Oh! Sure..." She begin her flight, but wasn't up there for very long. With a light at on the ground she landed in front of Skittles. "There's a guy about two feet away who looks exactly like the little girl."
Taimay cursed, and decided to break for it.
Yeah, like that was going to really happen.
Taimay suddenly felt herself being pulled in two directions, one by her feet and one by her long hair. At this point she felt herself fly back into a pair of rather strong arms. "Damn." was about the only thing the little girl could say, because before she knew it she was being lead to her very on house.
How could anyone turn her life upside-down in a matter of seconds?

A young man of about sixteen sat on a barrel of something or other looking at Skittles. Why would Skittles, a great villain and a legend in his own right, be trying to stop a little girl from stealing? "Sir," said the young man, "Why do you come here and preach to us?"
"You just seem to need some discipline."
"Listen you--"
"It's Skittles, not you. Also it would be very nice to know your name young man."
"It's Daimai."
"Good then. Dai--wait." Skittles blinked. "What did you just say?"
"I said, "It's Daimai" or didn't you catch that?"
'Why would anyone name there child after Human Justice and Divine Justice?' was all Skittles could think about. Snapping himself out of it he smiled, "You know you should stop stealing while you still can. Otherwise you'll end up like me?"
"Oh? How is that a bad thing," said Daimai. "At least you can get a good meal everyday and not starve in your own home."
Skittles closed his eyes and swore in such away that it could never be described.
Taimay looked up from her conversation with the angecur, and both Fulmen and Taeda ignored Skittles completely. It was just something that could be ignored if you understood what Skittles was up to.
"You," Skittles had managed to come barely an inch away from Daimai's face. "Need to look at the long range of things."
"W-why should I!"
"What would your parents want you to do?" Skittles growled lightly.
Strangely enough that hit a nerve in Daimai. "You look just like my dad."
With a shocked expression fell backwards onto the ground. With a whimper he rolled onto his knees, and stood up from there. Brushing himself off he looked over his shoulder at Daimai. "What joke is that?"
"It isn't a joke, if you didn't have a tail and had blue eyes you'd look exactly like my dad."
"So your dad had pointy ears with fur on them?"
"No, but he had pointy ears."
Skittles just blankly stared at the young man.
"You know what?" Taimay asked while giggling, "I think we should give him those clothes! It's not like they fit you or anything brother."
"No."
"B-but you said if you ever say daddy come home you would give him the clothing! Even if it wasn't really him, remember what the lady said?"
Daimai sat cross-legged on top of the barrel, despite being sixteen he was still small for his age, and extremely flexible. He looked down at one of his feet and said, "Maybe we should give it to him."
Taimay squealed, and picked up the floor board she was sitting on, producing a neatly wrapped package. Quickly Taimay ran over to hand the package to Skittles, who accepted it out of surprise.
"No, I couldn't take this!"
"We could of sold it if we really wanted too," said Daimai, "It really doesn't matter anymore. Just take the stupid thing and leave."
Skittles looked at the open hole in the floor. It was filled with several books and other assorted things. It was a place where someone kept the things they held dear to them. Skittles had had a place like that when he was a child. "Right, like I wouldn't pay you for your services." He threw grabbed a bag of gold coins from his inside pockets and threw them at the young man.
Daimai caught the gold coins with a what-the hell-are-you-on look.
"That should be enough to buy yourself some paper, quills and other whatnots to write a résumé. That way you can get food legally." With that Skittles turned to the door, "Shall we go guys?"
Fulmen nodded and Taeda followed his example. They all left the shabby little house together.

"Hey Skittles, why is this called the town of Magic and Misfits?" asked Taeda. They had managed to buy a new horse, or rather been given a new horse when the stable hand found that Skittles the angel of death needed one.
"That's where magic was first created or so the legends say."
"Geesh, that's amazing. Why didn't we stay a bit longer an find out a bit more?"
"Because the whole town would know who I am." Skittles sighed, "If you want to know about the Misfit part it's because the man who cast the first magical spell was an outcast."
"Whoa."
Skittles looked down at the package tucked into the saddle bag. With out warning he stopped the horse and dismounted. He ignored Taeda's questions and proceeded to unwrap the package.
A bright red trench coat was revealed, along with a sleek pair of pants, and a nicely pressed shirt. None of this had ever been worn, at least it seemed that way.
"Well, it looks like I have some pretty new clothes to wear."
"Put them on!" Taeda bounced. Red was her favorite color after all.
"Not right here! Definitely not with you looking at me."
"Oh... right." Taeda turned around and covered her eyes with her paws. "Is this better?"
Skittles shrugged, why not make the little angecur happy?
Facing your childhood wasn't that bad, as long as you got to change someone's future.
