Little Girls Become Great Too
"This is classified as safe by whose standards?" Asked Sprite as she looked around a restaurant. At least it was supposed to be a restaurant, she couldn't really tell. The only good thing was that the tables, chairs, and floors were clean. All the people in the place just rubbed her the wrong way.
They sat down at a round table with an out of place pink table cloth. It was a very strange place indeed. Skittles cracked his fingers as he sat down. They had spent the whole day at the library trying to find information on Bishen dragons. They did find some information, but it was information on myths and legends. It was something, but it didn't answer all of Skittles questions. Sure he had received a book but that did not explain everything. Especially how the got to the Shantel. Not a single person mentioned how to get there or what dimension the Realm was in.
Skittles thinking stopped when he heard a woman's protesting voice. He turned around to see two men fighting over a young woman who was struggling to get loose. Skittles shook his head and stood up.
He drew his sword as he neared the battle. To stop this fight from progressing any further was going to take some work.
The man holding the woman's wrist looked up as someone tapped him on the shoulder.
"Hello there, any particular reason why you two young men would be fighting over a woman with her own free will?"
"Bugger off."
"I'm so sorry that was the wrong answer!"
Before the man could say anything he felt a sharp pain in his back before he fell to the ground in a heap. No, he was not dead he was just knocked out. However the other man did not know this, so he stared in shock at the heap on the ground.
Skittles looked at the man on the ground with a smirk clear on his face. "No one handles a lady like that in my presence."
That did it, the other man let go of the woman and headed for the hills, screaming all the way.
The girl was sitting on the floor looking up at the interesting new man. Why would a stranger like him fight for her and not over her?
"Need a hand?" Skittles held out his hand to help her up.
She took it not knowing what else to do, and he lead her to his table.
Martia was bouncing up and down, *Skittles! That was the baddest and coolest thing you've done for a woman!*
"Oh boy..." Skittles said shaking his head. He remembered that the girl was still standing next to him, and he pulled out a seat for her. "I didn't catch your name."
"It's Alice." The young woman on closer inspection, probably could have taken those men out quite easily. She wore a tight, sleeveless, lowcut, black vest with a very small, light blue under shirt. Her bright red pants went down to her knees where they met her pitch black boots. She green wore gloves that reached until they hit her elbows. Her brown hair was long and let down, and it seemed to complement her pale face. The last most noticeable thing about her were various tattoos on her arms, and one that was partly visible on her chest.
Needless to say that Martia was thrilled, and Sprite felt rather threatened.
The woman smiled at everyone. "You're an interesting travel party."
"That's because," Sprite paused for drama, "We have the weirdest quest in the world."
"What would that be?"
Sprite gave a little bit of a chuckle and leaned closer to the young woman. "We have to destroy it." She leaned back and called for the waiter.
Alice could not help but stare. Did she just say what she thought she had said?
Skittles' head nearly smacked the table due to shock. The angecur on the other hand fell off of their chairs in shock. Martia just studied the tattoos that littered Alice's arms.
"Did you just say that you have to..." Alice trailed off as Sprite nodded and continued to order drinks.
'Okay, Alice you can deal with this. All you need to do is skip on over into another world!' She thought to herself as her stomach growled, 'After lunch that is.'
"Sprite! What the bloody heck is wrong with you?" Skittles growled a bit as he spoke.
Sprite blinked as the waiter shuffled away in search of drinks. She chocked her head to one side as if to say, "I didn't do anything to deserve this."
Skittles winced.
"What do you mean?" Said Sprite in icy voice.
"I-I-I..." This was the first time in Skittles life that he had been so intimidated. It left him utterly helpless.
Alice found that this would be a good time to interrupt. "Excuse me, um... Miss ... but what did you just order for us?"
Sprite nearly fell out of her seat in surprise. Not many people had broken one of her evil moods, and when she was in a mood she normally snapped at anyone or anything. Unless it caught her off guard. This most certainly did.
"I ordered the house soups for all of us, and I got each of our favorite meals. For you I just asked the waiter to come back in five minutes."
The brown eyed woman smiled at the gray eyed Sprite, "Thank you very much.... um... what's your name?"
"Sprite."
"OH!" The little red angecur popped out from under the table. "I'm Taeda and the blue guy who looks someone what like me is Fulmen."
*and I'm Martia!*
"Skittles."
"It's nice to meet you all. Is that little Bishel your bondmate?" she looked to Skittles bright eyed.
"Yes, but how did you know that she was a Bishel dragon?"
"Um..." Alice carefully thought out her answer. "Well, I tend to travel a lot and I'm interested in all sorts of dragons. Speaking of other dragons, have any of you heard of Darkelf Dragons?"
Everyone shook there head slowly.
"They're amazing creatures! They come in all sorts of colors, some are even unknown. You," She pointed to Sprite, "should adopt one!"
Sprite did not move an inch. "Maybe I will."

"I thank you all for letting me eat with you!" Alice gave them a bow.
"It's no problem," Sprite said in her cheery voice. "It's not like we're paying for it."
"Oh really now?"
"Hey, sometimes you have to be bad to win," Sprite said shaking her finger at Alice jokingly.
"Or," the girl flipped hair out of her face, "You just have to be a bad girl to win."
"Ummmhumm."
"Why am I so terribly frightened?" Skittles asked Fulmen.
The angecur said from Skittles shoulder, "Because we're outnumbered."
Alice and Sprite giggled and carried on while the only two males of the group slowly backed up. They were not going to be caught in the crossfire.
Of course they never excepted that one little man to return with a group of about twenty. Skittles backed up straight into the tallest member of that gang. He cursed lightly before turning around to view what he had backed into.
"Another stupid loser," Skittles sighed as Fulmen made his distance between Skittles and the gang.
"What did you call me?" The giant man asked in a less than impressive voice.
"I called you a stupid loser."
"That's what I thought." The man began to crack his very large knuckles.
No, this was not impressive. Everyone, from Martia to Alice yawned at the silly display of strength. They all decided that it would be over rather quickly.
Alice stepped forward to greet this new group. She gave them all a poisonous smile and said, "If you boys want a fight, I'll give you one."
They laughed. The morons laughed.
Alice did the only thing she knew how. Taught those men a lesson about how you should never underestimate the power of a woman. It's just a pity how the had to learn it the hard way.

*That was utterly amazing! I want to learn how to fight like Alice! Ooooh and Sprite that was a really great move back there! Such a classic with a twist, I'm simply amazed at the grace!* Martia was wrapped around Skittles shoulders as she praised all the members of the group.
Alice had left them, after thanking them about a thousand times for helping her teach such ruffians a lesson. In return she gave Sprite a map, and dragon applications, just if she decided to go through with that "maybe."
"What a day," said Skittles as he opened the door to the bedroom.
*It was great wasn't it?*
"Sure Martia."
*Hey Skittles?* Martia's thoughts were now only directed at her bondmate.
'What?' Thought the tired werewolf as he sat down on the bed with the greatest of care.
*Will I ever become great like you or Sprite or even Alice?*
'You'll be greater.'
