Some of you must be wondering what's a Res and how did the nutty author come up with the terrible thing. It's time for you to find out, if you like its or not. (You wouldn't be here if you didn't want to know.... unless you're judging this site.)

Rés is the Latin word for thing. I chose that because this Race is filled with a bunch of "things" so to speak. The Res Race is a very diverse one. The only thing that defines a race is there ability to transform into an animal. I'm getting ahead of myself though. 

Firstly all Res go under a certain Genus (Like humans are in Homo) then they go into Species. Each family is governed by that rule. So if you have a father who's under the Equus callbus heading and his wife is also, therefore the children will also be horses. Take the same father and hook him up with someone under the Ovis aries and his children with either be dominated by the sheep side of the family or the horse side of the family. You can't mix animals. Though they DO hold a recessive gene. 

Some of you might be asking, "What's with the water?" Depending on the family, certain things trigger there changing power. Pictor's family, being as odd as it is, needs warm water to change into their creature. Other families can change into it naturally, and, like Pictor's, others have a catch.

The rest of the Res' history is rather blurry, scattered around the world.... you'll never know who may know the history. After all, Why ruin the fun of wondering?
