To The Port

*LEVI! LEEEVI! LEEEVI!* Emmanuel yelled in his bondmate's head.

Levi just curled up into a ball under the covers.

*Wake up!*

"No," Levi said flatly.

*You want to get dressed for Abishai and 'Mierz don't you?*

"NO! That isn't today!" Levi shot up in his bed, "I slept in! How could I sleep in on such and important day?" He leaped out of bed to throw the proper attire and find everything he needed to.

*You're a loafer that's why. It's been seven years, and every day we've marked the calendar just for this day. What do you do? Forget it! I wanna go on this adveeenture,* whined Emmanuel.

"I am not--where are you?"

The door of the bed room was pushed open to reveal a full grown Bishel dragon with four very stable legs. He also sported a few bracelets along with a a feather. He lowed his head to the ground before speaking again, *You're cross is next to your bed.*

"Oh! Thank you!" Levi set his cross on his unmade bed throwing sets of clothes next to it. Quickly he grabbed his classic priest wear, a gray-blue coat with bright gold trimming, alone with matching cream pants with blue trimming. After hastily getting dressed he grabbed a knapsack to put his spare clothes in. With that done, and cross in hand, he began to walk out of the room.

*Your shoes?*

"Oh right!" he slide over to his night stand and took his favorite pair of bright orange boots. With those on he walked out of his untidy room click-clacking all the way.

Emmanuel trotted alone beside his bondmate. *I really hate to tell you this...*

"By Eho' sen! What did I miss now?" Levi half groaned.

*Our ride.*

Levi half screamed and began to run down the narrow corridors of the temples. It took a while to get to the port on this island. They were already running late, and to walk there it would take forever. He just had to catch his priestess friend, otherwise he'd be in deep trouble. Well, he had to try even if it was pointless.

Pointless. He had missed her by thirty seconds. He was now standing in the middle of the street, disheveled, angry, and about to panic. What next?

Emmanuel walked up to Levi. *Finished?* he asked in a bored tone.

"No not really. I thought you were supposed to be lucky anyway."

*On voyages, not sock hunts.*

"Sock...? Oh never mind that! Let's get running."

*Whoa, I don't think we have the stamina for that!*

"Look at it this way: If we don't get to the port on time we don't get to see Shai and Mierz. If we don't see them we don't get to go to their temple. If we don't get to go to their temple that means no adventure," Levi said while looking to the distance.

Emmanuel squeaked, how ever a dragon squeaks, and began running towards the sea port. It was going to be a long day.

***

"We m....made it!" Levi fell to his knees as their friends boat came into port.

Emmanuel slide down the to ground with a softened thud. Panting he glared at his bond, *If it wasn't for you we wouldn't have had to do this!*

"Just be happy we're here," Levi said with renewed strength. This was not the time to bicker, even if they did it so often.

They waited to go up to the boat until almost all the passengers were gone. They waited to see Abishai and Radzimierz come down to them with smiling faces. And the continued to wait, and wait, and wait. Somehow they weren't on this boat, which made no sense whatsoever.

*Don't tell me the calendar was wrong. I mean... we couldn't have come a day early could we?*

Levi sighed. They would never have forgotten about this. Abishai had the best of memory, and Radzimierz would have gotten on his case. There had to be something terribly wrong, they would have no other reason to blow anyone off. Now... what to do next was the problem. Shai and Meirz could be anywhere and there was no way to track them down.

"Excuse me, would you happen to be High Priest Malaci and Emmanuel?" A young woman hand come up to them, she was no taller then four feet and had a earthly air about her.

"Yes, Is there anything you would want young lady?" Levi said with a smile.

"I'm here to deliver a message. Priest Benesh wishes for you to come with me. I need to escort you to Raven's Isle, because of some... misfortunes Priest Benesh could not pick you up. My name is Priestess Nami."

*You get to business quite fast, but Priestess Nami it takes days to get to that Isle. If things are so urgent, as I'm assuming from our friends' absences, then how do you expect us to get there so things don't get out of hand.*

The small little woman smiled, "I am a priestess of Time, So we can easily jump through a portal to get where we're going."

*And I wanted to sail on a boat, what a pity.*

"All right fluff for brains let's just go with the nice lady," Levi muttered.

*Hey!*

The woman ignored there comments and began to cast a time spell in the middle of the street. That was a mildly stupid thing to do but she did it anyway, they had to get there soon or else. In a flash the three of them were gone from the streets.

***

Emmanuel was surprised to be standing in a river instead of on the street. He was surprised even more when he wasn't next to Levi. *Oh no... what's going on?* He looked around, there wasn't much. The land seemed to be burnt to a crisp, the grass was black and the sky was gray. Who would want to burn an island to a crisp, and way were certain things in tact?

Something splashed up beside him, causing Emmanuel to jump. *GAH!* He blinked a few times and was surprised at what he saw. *Mierz!*

A purple head was staring back at the Moonstone. *Well now, what took you so long?* Radzimierz took the liberty of walking on dry land where he revealed what he had become.

*Ah! So you're a Marine-Terran you look stunning!* Emmanuel said as he pranced out of the water.

Mierz snorted, *Please don't make me sound like a girl. Just say you're happy to see me and be done with it.* He shook his head and began to walk away.

*Ho!* Emmanuel quickly caught up with him. *Where are our bondmates, and better yet are we on Raven's Isle?*

*Relax, we're going to them now. I'm guessing the Time priestess wanted me to explain everything that was happening here, while Shai explained things to Levi. Now, let me tell you wants been happening on Raven's Isle.*

*This is going to be interesting,* Emmanuel mused to himself as Mierz began.

*When we came here we had found that someone had destroyed part of a forest. It turns out that some mad man had been through, and destroyed almost all the villages here. This isn't a dragon friendly place, but after Shai and I helped to heal a whole village they've warmed up a bit. Keep on your toes Emmanuel, these people could do some serious damage when angry. Whatever you do don't send them messages unless needed. They're really edgy.* Mierz finished with an annoyed sigh.

*Oh don't worry, I'll be fine. After all I am bonded to a man with a huge cross of divine punishment.* Manuel puffed out his chest jokingly.

*Very funny El, but I think you should watch where you're walking.*

*Oh? W--* Emmanuel had walked straight into a tree, thankfully it had the consistency of charcoal, so no real damage was done.

Ah, this was going to be a better day then they had expected.
