Yes, you hear these stupid things mentioned a lot. So I'm going to explain them once and for all.

"'Fire, wind, water, earth, steel, wood, electricity, light, darkness, ice and time are the elements that divide this world. If two or more strike at the same time then a war shall occur.' That's what the old books say. That's exactly what happened to that place. Don't look at me like that. I lived in a library for a year. I also know basic information about some Bishel dragons." He said with a huff.

"Your information is only half correct though. Did you read of the four basic elements?"

"Yes.  Fire, wind, water and earth. These elements are the basis of the world. They control what happens to the its people. Light and dark, though not as powerful as those of the four, they control the balance of forces. Wood, steal, electricity, and ice stand together, each supporting one of the other four main elements. Time stands alone, for anyone who serves it comes to regret it. The power is maintained so, that the gods, and elements shall rule the world equally. That's about what it said. What of it?""

What does this mean? Well, it means that the elements are also a form of "God" so the speak. They control natural elements in the universe, and have "teams" that they stay with to maintain balance.

Each element has a semi-human form, but they retain traits of their element and that of an animal that represents them. Of course not many people see them, they are mostly based off of legend.

Many Legends do cover the elements in mystery, so they are rather hard to "pin down." On legend says, that the five of the elements shall be chosen to choose the fate of the world. Four others will choose to oppose the others.  In the end the two elements of fire and ice will destroy or save the world.

This is why the site is called Fire and Ice.

Oh course. I'm not going to make it that simple.

Think of the elements some what like a deities or beings that control a world. On a normal basis they have never been known to cooperate with the gods.
